Daily Spark: Time to Play

When I give myself permission to play, joy returns, my spirit lifts, and I shine.

When I meet my inner critic with compassion instead of judgment, I soften, I heal, and I shine.

When I loosen my grip and allow life’s tumbling to polish me, I soften, I grow, and I shine.

When I choose wonder on purpose, the world brightens.

When I release old identities and trust the vulnerability of new skin, I step into becoming — and I shine.

When I allow myself to stay present — right where my feet are — my life feels fuller, and I shine brighter.

When I let my wounds heal by degrees instead of identifying with them, my whole, beautiful self emerges — and she shines.

When I stop lingering on thresholds and dare to open the door, I step into possibility — and I allow myself to shine.

When I choose lifelong learning — small, daily, curious learning — I stay awake to life.

A six-year-old told me today that ‘perfect is just a word.’ When I release perfectionism and dare to live imperfectly, my true spirit shines through!
