    The poet Maya Angelou, “Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for”.  I have reveled in such a day today.

    Glen Wilhite (a 94-year-old family friend) said, “As I am more in the end of my life, I find that it is not so much about striving and desiring transformation.  I am meditating daily and realizing that all is accessible NOW, not in some future time or place.”

  • Daily Spark: Skipping the Shoulds

    I have a part that is always telling me what I “should” do.  Especially after I’ve already done something else. I am trying today to notice the messages I give myself around “should” and try to reframe it, to skip the “shoulds”.

    It is easy sometimes to get in a hurry and forget to slow down and breathe. Oprah Winfrey has said, “Breathe. Let Go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.”
